What Is Vulnhub?
VulnHub is an online security training resource that has recently joined forces with OffSec, a company that develops new security training materials, walkthroughs, and solutions. VulnHub will join OffSec’s The Exploit Database and Metasploit Unleashed, as well as the Kali Linux distribution.

Does Vulnhub Offer Virtual Machines That Are Legally Hackable?
VulnHub is a great resource for those interested in hacking and security. They provide virtual machines that are exploitable, legally hackable, and safe to use as training tools. The site started out as Boot2Root, a static-page archive of virtual machines available for download. As the site grew, it expanded to cover information security topics.
Unlike other hacking websites, VulnHub virtual machines can be downloaded locally. Hack This Site is a safe training ground for hackers and contains an IRC channel for interacting with other hackers. It also offers exploit exercises that will test the vulnerability of code. VulnHub also offers hands-on workshops for hacking. It’s a great place to learn about ethical hacking, including legal hacking.
VulnHub offers a number of virtual machines for free and has thousands of articles, tutorials, and forums. These are great for those who want to practice ethical hacking and pen testing. These free resources are great as a starting point for any beginner.
OffSec, a security training company, acquired VulnHub in a recent deal. OffSec has committed to continuing VulnHub’s open-source cybersecurity content and expanding its offerings. The goal is to increase accessibility to information security training materials.

Does Offsec Plan to Expand Its Integration with Vulnhub?
OffSec is expanding its integration with VulnHub to provide its customers with even more access to information security training content. It plans to add additional open-source tools like Kali Linux, Exploit DB, and Metasploit Unleashed to its offerings. These tools will be free for users to download and use in the course of their OffSec training.
OSCP labs are different from CTFs in that they are designed to simulate real-world scenarios. Instead of working with puzzle-like tasks, users will get walkthroughs and a guide that will guide them through the labs. While studying with OSCP labs, students should keep notes and document the steps they take.
